I joined the Burgess Leclerc family in September 2007 after working part time for a few years. In July 2015, I successfully passed the life insurance exam. The founder of the company Gerald Burgess had been mentoring me over the years so that I could one day work with our clients. Gerald was an excellent advisor and I will be forever grateful for what he taught me.
My skills and experience in record keeping, correspondence, problem solving and customer service are all first rate that combined with my support from the inside and outside of BLFGI make my role as a insurance advisor easier.
It was Gerald’s wish that I take over as the President of the company. That is a great privilege and honour. I however could not do it alone. Samantha has been with us for 10 years and she offers Insurance & investment services. Without her, I could not carry out Gerald's wish.
It is an honour to bring my almost 50 years experience to an organization that is committed to placing the client’s needs and goals above all else. I pride myself on being the heart and soul of this organization which enables Samantha to look after the areas where she has the expertise.
It is with great sadness to report the passing of Gerald Burgess.
After many years of fighting a horrible muscular disease, Gerald is now with his Lord.
He passed away peacefully on Monday March 16, 2015.
Rest in Peace Boss
A man who has forged client relationships and fostered financial success for over 50 years, Gerald Burgess was a man who was truly passionate about his work, his family and his life.
Managing finances for his clients was not the only passion he had, for he was a pillar of strength and faith as a singer, organist, choir director and conductor - music was his love. With the Peterborough Singers, Ontario Cathedral Singers and numerous church choirs for over 50 years - he made beautiful music and touched all with his heart and soul.
With a heart-warming personality and winning smile, Gerald brought joy to all those he came into contact with. His incredible legacy will live on through the business that he loved, the music that he adored, and the people that he cherished.
It is amazing how rewarding it is if one is made for a job and the job is made for him or her. I am happy to introduce myself as that individual. My mission has always been to bring security to my clients by providing income replacement in case of premature death or disability through sickness or accident, or when age or choice puts one into retirement.
How is it accomplished? Through wise, secure and rewarding investments, diversified and sheltered as much as possible from taxes so that the capital grows and expands as it should. Many of my clients and family, mostly professionals, have been with me for over 20 to 30 years. My concerns for their well being has paid off for them through growth and for me mostly in putting my pride in serving them the best I can through proven experience, knowledge and success. My association with Burgess Leclerc Financial Group Inc. is providing continuity to professional services and expansion.
I am the French connection if that is your preferred communication language.
I have finally retired but still keep in touch with the business and former colleagues.
